David Murphy LF - TEX:
May 20, 12:15AM: Murphy goes...
David Murphy went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI in Sunday night's win over the Tigers. With Ian Kinsler on the DL, the Rangers are using Elvis Andrus as their leadoff hitter and Murphy in the No. 2 spot. It's not exactly a deserved promotion after Murphy posted a .170/.215/.295 batting line in April, but there's not any other current options. Murphy appears to be finally healthy after missing time last week with a lower back injury.

Derek Holland SP - TEX:
May 20, 12:07AM: Holland allows...
Derek Holland allowed four runs on eight hits and lasted just 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision on Sunday night against the Tigers. It was the first time Holland hasn't gone at least five innings in a start this season. He gave up three walks and managed to finish with six strikeouts, but couldn't overcome a pair of home runs to Miguel Cabrera. After settling for two straight no-decisions, Holland will look to get back in the win column in his next start Saturday vs. the Mariners.

Miguel Cabrera 3B - DET:

Cabrera has hit three home runs in a game for the second time in his career. The 2012 AL Triple Crown winner hit a three-run homer in the third inning and a solo shot in the fifth against Texas left-hander Derek Holland on Sunday night. He went deep again with nobody on base in the eighth inning against Rangers reliever Tanner Scheppers. Cabrera, who leads the AL in average and RBIs, also had a single. He was walked intentionally in the sixth inning even though the Tigers already had runners at first and second.

Doug Fister SP - DET:

Doug Fister was knocked around for five earned runs on nine hits over 4 2/3 innings in a loss on Sunday night against the Rangers. Fister worked up a high pitch count early and had to be pulled after giving up four runs in a disastrous fifth inning. It was his first non-quality start this season and just his second loss. Fister will take a 3.62 ERA and 1.26 WHIP into a matchup with the Twins on Friday.
