Bills signed second-round WR Robert Woods to a four-year contract. Not dissimilar in play style from Stevie Johnson, Woods is an incredibly quick-footed possession type receiver who should be able to move all around the formation, playing both outside positions and in the slot. Considered NFL-ready after playing in USC's pro-style scheme, Woods shouldn't struggle to win a starting job as a rookie. He's more likely to struggle for consistent fantasy value, projecting as no more than a WR4/5 amid suspect quarterback play.

Brooks Reed LB - HOU:

Texans OLB Brooks Reed reported to OTAs at 100 percent following offseason surgery on his groin. Reed had the surgery in late January after a groin injury cost him four games last season. Although there have been rumors of Reed moving to inside linebacker this year, he's more likely to open the season playing outside across from Whitney Mercilus unless rookies Sam Montgomery or Trevardo Williams come along much faster than expected. Reed will be a 2013 candidate for 6-9 sacks.

Free agent QB Charlie Batch says he has no plans to retire this offseason. Now 38 years old, Batch will keep his phone on in case a team gets desperate for an in-season quarterback addition. We wouldn't expect him to be signed before Week 1. "I'm not closing the door," said Batch. "I'm open to whatever is out there for me." Batch is also interested in working in an NFL front office.

Eagles waived RB Miguel Maysonet. The undrafted rookie out of Stony Brook became superfluous when Philly signed Felix Jones. Maysonet was a worthwhile pickup at 5-foot-9, 209 with 4.59 wheels and some power. He figures to find a new home before training camp.

Vikings CB Chris Cook is asking the coaching staff to let him shadow opposing No. 1 receivers this year. The Vikings have dabbled with this in the past, although Cook has been unable to stay healthy and establish himself in the "shadow corner" role. They'll probably give him another shot at it in 2013, while Xavier Rhodes attends to No. 2 wideouts as a rookie. Cook hopes the coaches will let him match up with Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall, and Jordy Nelson in the NFC North.

Browns QB Thaddeus Lewis is not expected to make the 53-man roster. Perhaps the Pat Shurmur favorite will resurface with Shurmur in Philly, where they are collecting QBs. The Browns don't believe Lewis' arm is strong enough for Rob Chudzinski's vertical passing attack, even to function as a backup. Brandon Weeden, Jason Campbell, and Brian Hoyer are ahead of him on the depth chart.

Rob Gronkowski TE - NE:

The Boston Herald confirms Rob Gronkowski's fourth left-forearm surgery will take place Monday at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Jesse Jupiter is expected to perform the procedure, with Patriots team Dr. Thomas Gill on hand. The surgeons will take "cultures" from Gronk's arm. If the cultures come back infection-free, a new plate will replace the one already in Gronkowski's arm and he'll begin a 10-11 week recovery timetable. If the cultures show Gronk's infection has lingered, "it's back to square one" and Gronkowski will likely miss regular season games.
